Locks of Love.

These pictures speak a thousand words. We're a little sad but it will be so much easier with her starting school in the fall. We've been talking for weeks about the Locks of Love program and explaining how is works to Ashlyn, who was happy to donate her hair. Maybe I should have spent a little more time explaining because she was determined to give her hair to a little girl at the salon today. Instead, we will be mailing it off soon and I plan to email a photo to the organization which may get posted on the website.

Speaking of websites, for those of you who haven't already seen it here is our hospital's new website.

Isn't it amazing how much older they look with shorter hair? Ella had hers cut short on Tuesday, and she looks years older! Love, love Ashlyn's new 'do. Did the rest of the crew follow suit?

WOW! Her hair was so long! It looks so cute short though :) Kaitlyn donated a few years ago but they cut it WAY too short - said she moved. Aagh! We got over it and have been enjoying her shorter hair since though I do miss those long locks!

Write ya soon...

Neat! How many inches did they cut off? I have a daycare child going to donate her hair this summer. Can grown-ups do this too? I have enough hair for about three kids.

They cut of 10 inches which is the minimum length. There is no maximum. And yes adults can do it too. There are a few restrictions you just have to check out locksoflove.org. I thought about doing mine too because it was really long but when she showed me how short it would be I chickened out. I have to be able to put mine in a ponytail or I go crazy.
